60% CO2 & 40% Nitrogen

This Harringtons drinks dispensing cylinder is a 60/40 mix, 60% CO2 to 40% nitrogen, blended for dispensing lagers and for soda machines. It’s a 10-litre bottle, sized for home brewers and low-usage customers rather than a busy commercial cellar, so it’s a practical choice if you dispense at home or keep a small setup running.

The mix is the part that matters: the higher CO2 proportion suits lagers and carbonated drinks, where you want the carbonation kept up as you pour. For ales and stouts, the 70/30 mix is the one to choose instead.
