Untreated softwood sleepers are a versatile and affordable option for garden and landscaping projects. They are easy to cut, shape, and install, making them ideal for raised beds, edging, or decorative features. As they contain no chemical treatments, they are safe for use around plants and vegetables, though they may have a shorter lifespan outdoors compared to treated wood.

Incised softwood sleepers are ideal for many landscaping projects, building raised beds, retaining walls and edging.
The Incising Process – Incising is a process where small cuts or grooves are made into the surface of the timber to help it absorb preservatives (Tanatone) more effectively. This process allows the preservative treatment to penetrate deeper into the wood, enhancing its resistance to decay and other forms of degradation.
Our Sleepers are treated with a Tannatone treatment, which makes these sleepers suitable for ground contact application
Softwood sleepers are light and easy to handle and shape. As the sleepers are brown treated, they’re perfect for a wide variety of construction projects.
