Harringtons water softener tablet salt is our own-brand tablet salt, a food-grade salt for tablet-fed water softeners at a sensible price. This is the larger 25kg bag, the one to choose if you get through a fair amount of salt and would rather reorder less often.
It does the everyday job of keeping your softener topped up, so the system can carry on removing the hardness from your water and protecting your pipes and appliances from limescale. Being our own label, it’s a straightforward, good-value alternative to the big salt brands.

Harringtons water softener tablet salt is our own-label tablet salt, made to do the same job as the branded tablets for less. It’s a food-grade salt in the standard tablet format that most modern softeners take, and this is the bulk 25kg bag, well suited to larger households or anyone who’d rather buy in quantity and reorder less often.
Tablet salt keeps your softener working so it can carry on stripping the hardness out of your water, protecting your kettle, pipes and appliances from limescale. Topping up is simply a matter of adding tablets as the level drops. Just make sure your softener is tablet-fed before buying, as tablet, block and granular salt are not interchangeable. A 25kg bag is a fair weight to lift, which is exactly where local delivery to your door helps.

Should I buy the 25kg or 10kg bag?
The 25kg bag is better value per bag and means fewer reorders, but it’s a heavier lift. The 10kg bag is easier to handle and store. If weight is a concern, go for the 10kg. If you use a lot of salt, the 25kg suits you, and local delivery brings it to your door.
